No campers, including seasonal, will be allowed to bring firewood in to Brialee per
State of Connecticut mandate regarding Asian Longhorn Beetles. Please, Please understand
the severity of this matter and imagine what would happen to Brialee if we became
infested with these beetles and were forced to cut all of our trees. Brialee is
a family business passed down in generations - losing our trees would all but destroy
our business and your family’s camping experience. Wood MUST be purchased from Brialee
- no exceptions. You can NOT purchase wood locally. If you do bring wood in, you
will be forced to leave the wood in a red trailer at the front and we will dispose
of it immediately. We do apologize for the inconvenience, but hope you understand
the severity of this matter. This is a temporary mandate, and we will notify you
immediately when the situation changes. In an effort to help, Brialee has discounted
it’s wood prices. 1 bundle for $5; 2 for $9; 3 for $12. Any long term campers may
purchase a cord of wood from us. Effective June 2011 - we also no longer permit
PALLET wood to be brought, as this is also a source of the beetles. Thank you.
